New Feature: Dynamic UOM Conversions

An in-demand feature is now available for Elevation Data Group clients.

Elevation Data Group (EDG) is excited to announce dynamic unit of measure conversions for data cleaning and chargeback validation is now available in our 2.1 release!

If you have ever struggled to reconcile wholesale price or contracts when items are sold in non-standard quantity (case or single pack), this new feature is for you. Fully integrated to the EDG data cleaning and chargeback management programs, this will automatically assesses transactions for non-standard UOM and convert wholesale price and/or chargeback qualifications before validation or data acceptance. This ensures normalized revenue reports and eliminates false rejection of chargebacks at varying UOM.

“This has been a recurring need for our manufacturing clients, who see varying UOMs reported by their distribution network and don’t have a way to marry it to their product catalog,” said Jon Dell, COO of Elevation Data Group. “By integrating programmatic factoring assessment and reconciliation, the case breaks or full case sales are easily identified and data joins are automatically adjusted without the need for a curated translation list.”

In layman’s terms, the feature will automatically detect the non-standard UOM and re-calculate contract or pricing details to match, ensuring appropriate wholesale revenue reporting and contract validation. Since it uses mathematical assessment, there is no need to build and maintain a reference list of “likely case-breaks”.

All current EDG clients have immediate access to the 2.1 release feature set.
