Our Story

Elevation Data Group’s story began with an observation. While working in the dental industry, Information Systems Director Jon Dell  and Sales & Marketing executive Michael D’Errico identified a major gap between the mountains of data being generated and the applicable use of that data by key stakeholders in the sales channel.

With the dental industry rapidly evolving, it was clear that the future was going to be built upon a seamless digital information standard, both universally accessible and fundamentally collaborative. Jon and Mike wanted to be a part of building that future. In 2017 they launched AG Data Service, which was rebranded to Elevation Data Group in 2019.

What began as transactional data cleaning and business intelligence for dental manufacturers quickly expanded to distributors and DSO/GPOs with products like probabilistic matching and special market contract validation. As the company’s products matured, Elevation Data Group became a subject matter expert and industry leader in special market data management and customer authentication.

2023 began the next phase in Elevation Data Group’s history. In February, Jon obtained full ownership of the company and became CEO.  His wife, Melissa, with almost 20 years in the aerospace defense industry, joined the team as Chief Product Officer, and together they developed a plan to refine their existing technology and develop new industry intelligence that adds to the data they process. This commitment to innovation led to the hiring of the company’s first CTO in 2024 and the development of the TRAM product. It continues today with an expansion into broad healthcare and business applications.

“The number one question for us is ‘how do we add value for our customers?,” noted CEO Jon Dell. “The answer has always been our technical ability, which we’re expanding every day. But the really exciting addition is the ability to blend industry knowledge and proprietary contextual data into those technical solutions, at scale. We’re talking highly trained data tools that understand niche business models. That is unique, and it opens massive new potential for dental, healthcare and beyond.”

Jon Dell

Chief Executive Officer

Jon Dell entered the dental industry in 2010 as the Marketing Director for a supply distributor. Craving more data for his sales intelligence, he quickly transformed the data infrastructure by developing a product attribute data repository from scratch.

Building on that success, Jon became Director of Information Systems and led major implementations of CRM, WMS, MRP, ERP and BI solutions that transformed operational capabilities and positioned the company as a nimble, data-driven organization.

In 2018, Jon co-founded Elevation Data Group to help organizations in the dental sales channel maximize the opportunity and transformative power of data. In this role, he developed the only dedicated universal chargeback validation program for the dental industry. He continues to work to move the dental industry forward.

Jon received his MBA with an emphasis in Information Decision Systems from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles in 2017. He was a showcase presenter for the Business Incubator with the Graduate Entrepreneurship program at LMU and co-author of Comparative Management Systems – The Dynamics and Impacts of Peer-To-Peer Lodging Platforms on the Traditional Lodging Industry, Spain, Italy, Greece, Austria – published in the Journal of Applied Business and Economics Vol. 19(7) 2017.

Melissa strives to create efficiency with any processes she encounters.  She’s an active member of her community, serving as the manager of her neighborhood youth swim team and is involved with her children’s school.

Combining her professional and personal experiences, Melissa joined Elevation Data Group in 2023 to lead TRAM – a new private data vault developed to fill gaps in dental special markets association.

Oliver

Oliver James Joseph Dell was born in Kansas City, MO, ¾ Mini Poodle and ¼ Australian Shepherd. He is a good boy, generally. He loves people, pretty much any people, so long as they devote 100% of their attention on him at all times. When especially worked up, he walks on his hind legs, much to the delight of children and circus talent recruiters. Oliver’s favorite meal is “whatever the Dell kids leave on the coffee table” and his favorite move is the 1986 classic “Three Amigos.” He sleeps 22 hours per day and hates to be alone. Other than that, he is pretty much perfect.

Daisy

This is a white Labrador. Doesn’t demand attention but appreciates a good scratch behind the ears. Efficient, reliable, and doesn’t waste time barking at nonsense. Just how a dog should be.

Bailey

Bailey Bailey Bast (yes – Bailey is her middle name) is a six-year-old Golden Retriever who has perfected the art of being both endearing and a little mischievous. She thrives on swimming in the lake, chasing after her favorite toys, and ensuring not a single crumb is left on the floor—her self-appointed role as the household’s vacuum cleaner. While she’s undeniably the best girl, her enthusiasm for water can sometimes lead to overindulgence, resulting in an occasional tummy ache. Bailey has a special affinity for children, delighting in their company as she follows them around, eagerly awaiting any dropped treats. Above all, she’s a sucker for a good booty scratch, which she considers a well-deserved reward for her diligent crumb-collecting duties.

Poppy

Lady Penelope “Poppy” Wigglebottom, first of her name, also known as Poppers, Poptart, Tiny Tornado, and the Little Hooligan. A Pembroke Welsh Corgi composed in equal parts smarts, sass, and attitude; Poppy’s day job is chasing away the deer that decimate the shrubbery. Her favorite hobbies include pestering her human, going for long sniff safaris, body slamming her dog-aunt (who is four times her size), long afternoon naps, and romping through the snow. The jury is still out on the swimming thing, and strange/new things are to be barked at. Poppy has a zest and a joy for life that is positively infectious with a personality far bigger than her little body.
