Well, it goes without saying that the year has flown by so far! We have been busy with a few larger deployments and have been particularly engrossed in data modeling. Our team is growing and taking on some additional responsibilities. Lots of fun updates as we open up Q3 of 2024!
TRAM Continues To Grow
Since the launch of TRAM to our manufacturing customers last quarter, we have continued to see this service grow. The largest impacts have been helping to comprehensively authenticate sales activity with specific groups and GPOs. Lately though, we have been working with our customers on location-level trends and organic growth discovery. This has helped to identify the key customer relationships that are more (or less) than they appear in the raw data. This topic is a big challenge in the dental space right now, and we’re living our best life on the leading edge developing solutions to these questions.
TRAM Q3 2024 Release Notes:
The TRAM Q3 2024 updates have been released. Here are a few highlights of what is new:
- TRAM Custom locations added/updated: 16,389
- TRAM Families added/updated: 73
- TRAM Group Assignment Rules added or enhanced: 52
What Has EDG Been Up To?
- We have assisted several customers with managing their own group roster lists (Custom TRAM Lists) and integrated monthly updates to these lists. Lists are then tied to internal systems and sales performance intelligence.
- We helped build a new data model for a customer with blended data from multiple sources, at multiple levels of detail. With critical referential sources and custom business rules in the mix, this turned out to be a really fun and brain-stretching project. A perfect kick off to our summer sprints!
- We have been experimenting with new threshold assessments for our probabilistic matching algorithm. We don’t promote this product a whole lot, but it is really foundational for most of our customers’ data strategy. This is also what drives TRAM’s matching of customers to transactions. Our goal is always better and more reliable matches, so most of this work is around ways to interpret the data in context.
- We developed the first draft of a passive tracking system that identifies trends in location sales activity and automatically brings those insights to the top. This is an automated system that scans data for changes in customer behavior across multiple time periods. The pilot was encouraging, and we have started planning our next phase of development on this exciting new product.
- We completed an upgrade for a customer that included a brand new PowerBI deployment.
Welcome To Our New CTO
We were really excited to welcome Jared Kline as our new Chief Technology Officer. To be fair, we still ARE excited he’s here, because he’s helping build on our plans to streamline workflow and external partner data integration. We’re all-in on process automation and advanced analytics, so his project board is already humming.
Melissa Dell Named to DTA Foundation Board
Melissa was recently voted by the Dental Trade Alliance Foundation to become a new board member. In the past year Melissa has enjoyed partnering with the foundation for the Pets of Dental Calendar as well as sitting in on the board meeting for fundraising prior to the DTA 2024 Washington Policy Summit. She is excited to bring more efforts to fundraising for our dental community.
